Together with Roslesozaschita (Forest Protection agency) we have developed a new version of an Android app to collect and work with geodata.
We continue active development of NextGIS Logger. New version features live data view, where one can see exactly what data are being around right now. You can switch to this mode any time, while logging or not.
NextGIS has finished implementing NextGIS Web/Manager/QGIS based Geodata storage. This development is done together with Rekod Corp. in interest of Russian Federal Space Agency.
We’re happy to present NextGIS Logger. We often find ourselves collecting various data, but existing loggers, while there are loads of them, did not satisfy us from productivity or control standpoints. That’s why we wrote our own.
We’ve developed better integration between QGIS and ESRI ArcGIS Server, users of NextGIS QGIS can now work with almost all services provided by ESRI ArcGIS Server.
During 2013 and 2014 we were busy helping build UIK GEO – geospatial crowdsourcing project aimed to create open geodata on polling stations in Russia.
From 5th to 10th of October we travelled to Orenbugsky Zapovednik (State Biosphere Nature Reserver) to work under “Improving the Coverage and Management Efficiency of Protected Areas in the Steppe Biome of Russia” project.
We’re glad to introduce GNM (Geographical Network Model) for GDAL and would like to share what it is about. GNM has been developed by Mikhail Gusev during Google Summer of Code 2014 under the mentorship of NextGIS.
Together with Biodiversity Conservation Center NextGIS has completed mapping for an extension for marine protected zone in Curonian Spit National Park (Kurshskaya kosa, Kaliningrad region). The project is part of HELCOM BASE project
