What are the rules for using Web GIS at nextgis.com?
Web GIS can be used in accordance with NextGIS Terms of Service and User agreement for NextGIS Services. We can also draft and sign a bilateral Contract for use of NextGIS services with your organization if necessary.
Can I change my plan?
Can I limit access to my web maps and resources?
Permission settings for web maps and other resources are available only for Premium users. If you are a Free or Mini user then all your web maps and data can be read by all users, including guests.
How can I pay for Premium or Mini subscription?
You can buy a subscription with your credit card or PayPal using a plan selector in your profile. All payments are processed through 2Checkout payment gate.
We also accept payments made via wire transfer in case the sum of the payment is $300 or more. If you’d like to use this option, switch to “Legal entity” tab in the plan selector and enter your company details to request an invoice.
You can also send us a request for a plan change or an invoice via website or email.
What happens if I stop paying for Premium?
We value privacy of your data, so we won’t force open or delete any of your private resources. Instead you’ll have 2 weeks to do it yourself after your subscription has expired. There are 2 scenarios what happens next:
- If after 2 weeks your Web GIS still has private resources and/or contains more than 30 maps and data layers, your Web GIS will be blocked. You will need to renew your Premium subscription to recover your Web GIS and remove/open resources.
- If after 2 weeks your Web GIS has no private resources and contains no more than 30 maps and data layers, your Web GIS will be automatically switched to Free, loosing Premium functionality.
- All your team members (excluding Plan owner) will be removed from the team. If you restore your Premium plan later, you’ll have to add them back again.
What happens if I stop paying for Mini?
Depending on a number of maps and layers in your Web GIS, there are 2 possible scenarios:
- If after 1 week your Web GIS contains more than 30 maps and data layers, it will be blocked. You will need to renew your Mini subscription to recover your Web GIS and remove resources.
- If after 1 week your Web GIS contains no more than 30 maps and data layers, it will be automatically switched to Free, loosing Mini functionality.
What kind of support do I get?
Unfortunately we’re unable to offer any support on Free and Mini. You can send us your questions, but we will be able to answer only if it is possible to do it right away. Technical support is available on Premium plan only.
Mini plan doesn’t apply any limits on a number of resources in your Web GIS. You can upload any amount of vector, raster, PostGIS and WMS layers, and create an unlimited number of web maps.
Tired of a standard basemap? Want to add satellite imagery, topography, basemaps in other styles? Mini allows you to choose from hundreds of different basemaps. You can have a look at what’s available at qms.nextgis.com. You can also add a basemap from your organization’s server. Have a look at the example.
If you’re a developer and would like to use your Web GIS as a backend for your own map or an app – Mini gets you covered. Mini allows you to turn on and set up CORS. This mode allows you to add completely new-looking map on your website and not worry about geodata upload and management (see how it works).
Lookup tables are dictionaries of «key-value» pairs stored in your Web GIS. Lookup tables can be used for example for dropdown lists of pre-entered values to be used in NextGIS Formbuilder and NextGIS Mobile.
Forms are special data collection surveys attached to your data layers and stored in your Web GIS for easy exchange with other applications. Forms are built with NextGIS Formbuilder and used in NextGIS Mobile.

Our desktop software is distributed through network installer that requires internet connection to download and install packages. If you need installer prepackaged to work offline and you’re covered by one of our plans — we’ll provide an installer that works offline.
Our mobile software is distributed through mobile OS markets. If you need install files and you’re covered by one of our plans — we’ll provide them.
Our software is regularly updated. Self-update procedures are part of the software and it will periodically ask you to update when new versions are discovered. The software will get updated in accordance with the plan you’re on.
Premium plan offers all Mini functionality and more:
In addition to Administrator you can create 4 more users. Manage their roles and permissions for Web GIS resources. All 5 users will have access to Pro-functionality of NextGIS QGIS, Mobile and Formbuilder.
NextGIS Toolbox access
NextGIS Toolbox – a set of geoprocessing tools. Unlimited runs. Access details: 1 CPU core, 2 Gb RAM, 1 task running at a time.
Edit vector layers geometries directly through a web map.
Set permissions for each resource in your Web GIS, including limitations for reading by different user groups. This function is activated automatically when you sign up for Premium plan.
Use your own domain name instead of default [name].nextgis.com.
Use your own logo and design elements instead of NextGIS logo. You can change the way your Web GIS looks with CSS. New logo is uploaded through Control panel.
Premium Web GIS processes twice more requests than Free at the same time, which means 2x speed for map rendering and multi-user work. This function is activated automatically when you sign up for Premium plan.
