NextGIS at the Maine GIS User Group meeting, June 2026

The Maine GIS User Group (MEGUG) is a non-profit organization that promotes awareness of and encourages the coordinated development and effective use of geographic information and related technologies. MEGUG focuses its efforts in the areas of policy, liaison and networking, research, education, and public relations. The Group facilitates discussion and exchange of information and ideas in these areas by hosting regular meetings, workshops, and roundtables open to both members and non-members.

We presented a talk “Building enterprise-grade spatial infrastructure around QGIS with the NextGIS stack“ at the July MEGUG meeting.

Abstract: At NextGIS, we have been building QGIS-based spatial infrastructures for over 15 years, developing server, desktop, and mobile tools to support organizations and municipalities using QGIS around the world. In this talk, I will introduce our products and demonstrate how to build an enterprise-level GIS infrastructure using QGIS as the desktop platform and NextGIS Web as the server component. We will focus on QGIS project publishing, collaborative data editing, and security-related aspects such as user and permission management, data version control, and conflict resolution.
