On October 12-13, the NextGIS team participated in FOSS4G:UK 2026 in Leeds, UK. The conference brought together the open-source geospatial community for two days of talks, discussions, and networking.
We were happy to be part of the programme and share our latest developments in collaborative GIS workflows.
Eduard Kazakov presented Collaborative QGIS workflows with NextGIS Web: synchronization, conflict resolution, and version control.
Our talk focused on a practical challenge familiar to many GIS teams: how to move from individual QGIS projects to a shared working environment where multiple users can edit data, synchronize changes, resolve conflicts, and track editing history.
We demonstrated how NextGIS Web and NextGIS Connect work together to support these workflows, covering:

The key message was simple: QGIS teams can build a fully open-source collaborative environment without abandoning their familiar desktop workflows.

Beyond our presentation, FOSS4G:UK was a great opportunity to discover new projects, exchange ideas with fellow developers and GIS professionals, and discuss the future of open-source geospatial technologies.
Many thanks to the organizers, speakers, and everyone we met in Leeds for the inspiring atmosphere and valuable conversations!

We look forward to seeing the community at future FOSS4G events.
