Filter layer features on the Web Map by area

Selecting multiple features at once is an essential tool in almost any application. For cartographic software an example would be filtering multiple geographic features on an interactive map by area.

In NextGIS Web you can do it using a tool in the Feature table. By pressing a button on the Feature table toolbar you can choose a way to select the limits of the area: a circle, a rectangle, a free-hand drawn polygon or a line (features intersected by the line will be filtered).

After the area is selected, the feature table is refreshed to show only the features within the area. This tool also allows to zoom in on the selected area (or line) and clear the filter.

You can use quick export to save the filtered features in a variety of common geodata formats. See a step-by-step instruction in the video.
