An Ugra University Specialist has just completed a Web-GIS internship at NextGIS.
The program was designed to have the intern become proficient with web-based map making using opensource software. The internship covered the architecture, functionality, and development of Web-GIS, plus:
- Basics of web-technology in general and web-mapping in particular
- Software installation and setting up
- Practice development using JavaScript and Python
- Symbology and rendering
